The Girl With All The Gifts

$105.00

by M.R. Carey

MidWorld Press is excited to announce that we will be publishing a signed, limited edition of The Girl With All The Gifts by M.R. Carey (DC Comic’s Sandman spin-off Lucifer, The Rampart Trilogy, The Boy On The Bridge, and, writing as Mike Carey, the Felix Castor novels including The Devil You Know and Vicious Circle).

About the book:

“Not every gift is a blessing.”

Melanie is a very special girl. Dr Caldwell calls her "our little genius."

Every morning, Melanie waits in her cell to be collected for class. When they come for her, Sergeant keeps his gun pointed at her while two of his people strap her into the wheelchair. She thinks they don't like her. She jokes that she won't bite, but they don't laugh.

Melanie loves to learn and she’s the smartest of all the kids in class. She’s never been outside but she has a good imagination. Sometimes Ms. Justineau brings in flowers and plants for the kids to see, touch and smell. Melanie loves Ms. Justineau and her classroom . . . until Dr. Caldwell has Sergeant and his men take two of the children away to never return.

Now, Melanie wonders what they’ve done with the other two children . . . and if she’ll be next.
